Shark Tank India alumnus Conscious Chemist, a D2C skincare brand, raised ₹15 crore in a bridge round led by Atomic Capital, alongside participation from First Port Capital Fund B and IPV International.

The startup will utilize the raised funds to recruit talent, enhance inventory and marketing operations, and invest in product innovation and R&D.

Established in 2021 by Robin Gupta and Prakher Mathur, Conscious Chemist is committed to developing result-first formulations, offering practical and effective products designed for Indian skin.

The startup’s portfolio exceeds 30 products and focuses on active-care-first formulations made with globally sourced, high-efficacy ingredients including salicylic acid, kojic acid, peptides, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and retinol.

Robin Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Conscious Chemist, stated, “By prioritizing active formulations, transparency, and results, we’ve built a loyal following that trusts our products. This funding enables us to double down on innovation and become India’s most trusted science-driven beauty brand. Our vision is to develop a sustainable brand that transforms perceptions of beauty and skincare in India.”

“We have a clear target: ₹500 crore ARR in the next 24–36 months with healthy unit economics. The focus isn’t just growth—it’s on building a sustainable, transformative brand for hair and skin care in India,” he said.

Conscious Chemist claims a 3X increase in revenue and 75% gross margins in the past 12 months. Its products are available on Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto, and leading online retailers like Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, and Flipkart.

It has further expanded its lineup with Self-Dissolving Microneedle Patches, an Acne Spot Corrector, Blackhead Melting Water, and an Oil-Free Collagen Jelly Cream.

Apoorv Gautam, Managing Partner of Atomic Capital, noted, “We are actively investing in cutting-edge consumer and tech-enabled businesses, given how quickly the market is growing. Skincare consumers have become much more informed, and they now expect full transparency around product ingredients.”

“Tier 2 and 3 cities, alongside Tier 1, are increasingly shaping up as major growth areas. The time is right to introduce fresh products and extend market reach. Conscious Chemist has demonstrated strong progress in the past 12 months, and we believe the opportunity is immense. The company has generated the momentum needed to capitalise on this segment,” Gautam noted.
