Neuron Energy, an EV battery manufacturer, has raised ₹31 crore in a pre-Series B round led by Equanimity Ventures, Rajiv Dadlani Group, Thackersay Family Office, and Chona Family Office, with additional participation from family offices and HNI investors.
Founded in 2018, the startup provides a broad range of mobility solutions powered by advanced lithium-ion technology and is now expanding into next-generation sodium-ion systems.
Neuron will use the new capital to scale its manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh and set up a fully automated, state-of-the-art facility for electric four-wheelers and buses in Chakan, Pune. The company will also strengthen its R&D capabilities, accelerate domestic expansion, and widen its presence in international markets, the release stated.
The startup, which operates on a low-CapEx and low-OpEx model, claims to have been growing profitably year-on-year and is on track to reach ₹200 crore in revenue this year. It also projects crossing ₹900 crore in sales over the next few years.
Pratik Kamdar, CEO and Co-Founder of Neuron Energy, said of the funding, “This Pre-Series B round is a pivotal milestone in our mission to industrialise world-class battery manufacturing in India. As EV adoption accelerates, we remain focused on expanding capacity, enhancing automation, and pushing the limits of performance and reliability. This investment enables us to deliver at scale, both domestically and globally.”
Rajesh Sehgal of Equanimity Ventures added, “We see tremendous potential in Neuron Energy’s approach to EV battery innovation and scalable manufacturing. Their emphasis on quality, automation, and energy efficiency aligns well with the evolving needs of the EV industry in India and globally. We are proud to support their next stage of growth as they expand into new vehicle segments and manufacturing capacities.”
Rajiv Dadlani, from the Family Office of the Rajiv Dadlani Group, said, “Neuron Energy shows exceptional potential to become a market leader with its strengthened focus on delivering top-quality products. The company and its founders are deeply committed to producing rigorously tested, safe-to-use Li-ion smart batteries. We are confident they will continue to excel and set new benchmarks in the industry.”
