Atomberg Technologies, a consumer electronics company established by IIT Bombay alumni Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das, is reportedly preparing for an IPO, which could help the company raise approximately $200 million, according to a Bloomberg report.
The report noted that the company has begun talks with investment banks about a potential public listing and is likely to finalize the appointment of advisers in the coming weeks.
The proposed IPO is expected to feature a mix of fresh share issuance and a secondary offering by existing investors. Depending on market conditions, the listing could be launched as early as next year, the report added.
Atomberg’s plans come at a time when India’s primary market remains robust. Companies have already raised about $19.6 billion this year, after hitting a record $21 billion in 2024, according to Bloomberg data.
Founded in 2012 by Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das, the Mumbai-based company started out producing energy-efficient fans. Over the years, it has expanded its portfolio to include mixer grinders, water purifiers, and smart locks, with the goal of building a comprehensive consumer electronics platform.
In 2023, Atomberg secured $86 million in funding from Temasek, Steadview Capital, Jungle Ventures, and Inflexor Ventures through a combination of primary and secondary transactions. Avendus Capital served as the adviser for the deal.
If the IPO proceeds, Atomberg will join a growing list of technology companies that have gone public, including Lenskart, Groww, and Ather Energy.
